After implementing a successful, three month hot spot policing pilot project for her agency in 2018, Crime Analyst Erin Jones, with the La Mesa Police Department, will share how to run your own policing study. She will review what worked and what didn’t from her hot spot project and brainstorm how to select and sell your own project to command staff. She will review important considerations for all phases of study implementation and discuss how evidence based policing research will influence the future of crime analysis.
