Synopsis:

Senior Police Analyst, Brittany Winslow, from the Scottsdale Police Department in Arizona, will be presenting a case study reference a series of residential burglaries which occurred in the city of Scottsdale involving the “South American Theft Group” (SATG). Brittany will share with attendees how law enforcement was able to link up several burglaries in the city of Scottsdale as well as cities outside of their jurisdiction, up to and including, burglaries that occurred out of state. In this case debrief, you will hear of the various analytical databases utilized to link, identify and locate the suspects involved in this series.


BIO:

Brittany Winslow is a Senior Police Analyst with the Scottsdale Police Department in Arizona and has over ten years of experience working as a tactical analyst. Prior to working with Scottsdale, she worked with the Phoenix Police Department as a Dispatcher and as a volunteer in the Crime Analysis Research Unit. Brittany has served on the International Association of Crime Analyst’s Conference Committee as the Conference Chair, Exhibitors Coordinator, and the Speaker Coordinator. She has also served as the former President and former Webmaster for the Arizona Association of Crime Analysts. Brittany has a BA in Theatre Arts: Directing from the University of Northern Colorado, a Certificate in Crime and Intelligence Analysis from Chandler/Gilbert Community College and is working on her Master of Arts degree in Intelligence Studies with a concentration in Criminal Intelligence at the American Military University. Brittany has been recently featured on the Law Enforcement Analysts Podcast and was honored to have been awarded AACA Member of the Year (2014), AACA Team Award (2018 & 2020), and has been nominated for the Scottsdale Police Department’s Chief’s Awards of Excellence, Professional Trainer of the Year (2022 & 2021).
