The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department has been performing non-criminal homeless outreach since 2012, with additional funding and team expansion starting in 2015. The need to document our contacts in a reliable and secure manner has evolved along with the homeless crisis. I will review our history of data collection; our missteps and improvements; and the implementation of Survey123 to the Homeless Outreach Services Team.
